FOAM MATTRESSES WITHOUT SPRING CORE — DIFFERENT MATERIALS, DIFFERENT COMFORT
In mattresses without a spring core, support comes from carefully selected foams or their combination with fibrous layers. The density, resilience and arrangement of these materials determine how the mattress contours to your body, responds to movement and distributes weight. We recommend this category to those who enjoy the feel of foam or latex and want to choose between the gradual contouring of memory foam, the natural resilience of latex and the firmer support of coconut coir.
MEMOCELL suits those who enjoy a surface that gently contours to the body, while LATEX suits those who prefer a quick, responsive feel when changing position. For customers who favour naturally derived materials and a more stable construction, COCO LATEX brings together the properties of coconut coir and latex.
Depending on the model, these mattresses can be practical for everyday sleep, children’s and guest rooms, holiday homes and low-profile beds. MEMOCELL is particularly worth considering for children and lighter sleepers, as well as for occasional use. The right choice depends on your build, sleeping position and personal comfort preferences — which is why we invite you to try the models in our showroom.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MATTRESSES WITHOUT A SPRING CORE (FAQ)
What is the difference between mattresses with and without a spring core?
In mattresses without a spring core, support comes from layers of foam, latex, or their combination with coconut coir. Their density, resilience and arrangement determine how supportive and comfortable the mattress feels. The choice depends on your build, sleeping habits and bed base — both constructions can provide suitable comfort when properly selected.
How do I choose between MEMOCELL, LATEX and COCO LATEX?
We recommend MEMOCELL for those who enjoy the gradual contouring of memory foam over a supportive HR foam base. LATEX offers a more responsive feel and adapts quickly as you change position. COCO LATEX combines the resilience of latex with the firmer support of coconut coir.
Are mattresses without a spring core suitable for everyday sleep?
Yes, provided you choose a model that suits your build, needs and bed base.
Are mattresses without a spring core always soft?
No. Firmness depends on the mattress materials and construction. Memory foam gradually contours to your body, latex offers responsive comfort, and coconut coir layers add firmer support. The best way to feel the difference is to try the models in our showroom.
What type of bed base should these mattresses be placed on?
MEMOCELL, LATEX and COCO LATEX are designed for a suitable flexible slatted (latoflex) base. Its construction and flexibility influence the overall support, while the gaps between the slats allow air to circulate beneath the mattress. Before purchasing, ask us about compatibility with your bed.
Do foam and latex mattresses allow airflow?
Yes, breathability depends on the material structure and how the layers are joined. Selected foams, perforated latex and coconut coir support airflow and help moisture escape. Breathable bedding, a slatted base and regular airing further contribute to a comfortable sleeping environment.
Can I wash the mattress cover?
All our mattress covers are removable and washable at temperatures up to 40°C, according to the care label. On double mattresses, the two-part cover allows each section to be washed separately at home.
Can I wash the inner layers of the mattress?
No. The mattress core must not be washed or soaked in water. You can occasionally air the mattress in daylight in dry weather.
Do you make mattresses without a spring core to measure?
Yes, standard and custom sizes are available. The height of MEMOCELL and COCO LATEX can also be adjusted within the limits of their construction. Send us your measurements and bed base details so we can suggest a suitable solution.
